D’IBERVILLE, MS – The city of D’Iberville marked a significant milestone in its economic development with the grand opening of Mercedes Benz of South Mississippi. Renowned car dealership owner Ray Brandt officially introduced the prestigious Mercedes Benz brand to D’Iberville on Monday, cutting the ribbon at the new state-of-the-art facility. This Mercedes Benz dealership is only one of two in the entire state, signaling a major win for the Mississippi Gulf Coast region.
“Mercedes Benz is more than just a car; it’s an iconic brand recognized worldwide for its luxury and performance,” Brandt stated at the opening ceremony. His decision to locate a Mercedes Benz dealership in D’Iberville was strategic, pinpointing the area’s burgeoning growth and prime location. The dealership’s placement near the intersection of major transportation arteries like the interstate, I-110, and Sangani Boulevard, adjacent to the bustling Promenade Shopping Center, was a key factor in Brandt’s investment.
Brandt emphasized the dynamic nature of D’Iberville, noting, “Experts have identified this region as the fastest growing in Mississippi. The population growth and high traffic volume here are compelling. We anticipate creating numerous jobs and are exploring opportunities to introduce additional brands to this thriving hub. The grand opening event drew a large crowd, including prominent D’Iberville officials. City Manager Michael Janus highlighted the city’s proactive approach to development and marketing, stating, “D’Iberville is strategically developing its retail sector and is actively attracting tourism and automotive dealerships.
