Mercedes-Benz has announced a significant leadership change, appointing Dimitris Psillakis, a seasoned executive with a strong background originating from Mercedes-Benz Greece, as the new Head of Marketing and Sales for Mercedes-Benz Cars North America and CEO of MBUSA. Dimitris Psillakis’s journey within Daimler AG is a testament to his dedication and expertise, beginning in Mercedes-Benz Greece, also known as Mercedes-Benz Hellas (MBH). Joining Daimler AG in 1992 as a management trainee with MBH, Psillakis demonstrated rapid growth and leadership potential within the Greek subsidiary. His ascent through the ranks culminated in his promotion to General Manager of Passenger Cars in 2001, marking a significant milestone in his early career within Mercedes-Benz Greece. This foundational experience in the Greek market provided him with invaluable insights into the automotive industry and customer preferences, shaping his global perspective.

His success at Mercedes-Benz Greece paved the way for international assignments. In 2009, Psillakis took on the role of Managing Director for Passenger Cars in South America and Vans Sales Brazil at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil Ltda. During his six-year tenure in Brazil, his leadership led to remarkable results, tripling sales volume and achieving market leadership in Brazil. Continuing his trajectory of success, Psillakis was appointed President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea (MBK) in 2015.
